Our Mission

Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue (PPDR) mission is to rescue donkeys from abuse, neglect, and slaughter, provide them a loving and nurturing environment, and prepare them for adoption into loving homes.

What We Do

Bidding at Auction

Save donkeys by attending auctions and bidding against kill buyers.

Physical Exams

From this information, an individualized plan is created to meet their nutritional, medical and socialization needs.

Take Them In

Accept any surrenders that need a safe place to land.

Provide a Home

Attempt to find loving homes for those who are adoptable and provide sanctuary to those who are not.

Monitor Kill Pens

Monitor the activity to save the most vulnerable donkeys.

Educate

Educate the public on donkey abuse and care. In addition, educate adopting families on proper care.
