Adopt a Donkey from Peaceful Pastures

By adopting a donkey from Peaceful Pastures, you not only bring joy and companionship into your life but also make a profound difference in the lives of these incredible animals. Every adoption fee and donation goes directly towards the care, medical treatment, and well-being of our donkeys.

Adoption Process

Carefully read and sign through the adoption Contract provided. It's essential to fully understand the terms and conditions outlined to ensure a smooth and successful adoption journey for both you and the animal. Please NOTE,  that without your acknowledgment on the contract, we will not be able to continue your adoption application.

 We understand you may have a lot of questions and want to see the donkeys prior to committing to adoption. However, we also do not want to waste your time or ours, so we require an approved application as the first step. Your adoption contract is part of the application and includes important information about adopting from us.

Your approval email will come with a link to the adoption appointment calendar

Please schedule an appointment through the calendar. In the comments section, please describe any characteristics or specific donkeys you are wanting. This allows the on-site person meeting you to prepare for the visit by having several in mind to introduce you too that meets your desired traits.

bring a trailer on the day of your visit or come and pick out your donkey and pick them up later.

Please know that we cannot reserve a specific donkey more than 30 days without payment. Your visit will be conducted by the organization Founder who knows all the animals very well. Make sure you ask questions and let her know exactly what you are looking for in your donkey.

How much is PPDR's adoption fee?

The adoption fees for donkeys and mules are $400, while mini mules and horses are available for $300.
