1. Nonexistent Addresses: Always Google map the address given by the rescue. If it doesn’t exist or appears suspicious, that's a major red flag.

2. Upfront Deposits: Be wary of rescues that require a deposit before you’ve met the animal or visited the facility.

3. Restricted Visits: Legitimate rescues will always encourage you to visit and meet the animals. If they insist on delivering the animal without allowing a visit, be cautious.

4. No Interaction: A reputable rescue will want you to interact with the animal before making any commitments. If you’re allowed to purchase an animal without seeing or interacting with it, that's a significant warning sign.

5. Vague Answers: If you ask questions about the animals and receive vague or nonsensical answers, proceed with caution. Legitimate rescues will provide detailed and knowledgeable responses.
